Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an advanced imaging tool that scans the arm using magnetic fields and sophisticated computer software to provide detailed images of the internal structures, particularly the soft tissues. Unlike x-ray and CT scans, MRI is able to visualize the tendons, muscles, ligaments, and cartilage. This extremely valuable tool is used by Dr. Hussey to assist in the diagnosis and management of your upper extremity condition. Tell our medical staff if you have a pacemaker, implant, metal clips, or other metal objects in your body before you undergo an MRI scan.​
