Arthroscopic debridement and capsular release is a minimally invasive technique typically utilized for the early to moderate stages of shoulder arthritis. This procedure removes arthritic bone and loose cartilage from the joint, as well as release tight capsular tissue to allow for improved shoulder motion. This is a good option for patients wanting to avoid or delay the need for a shoulder replacement.

If this is your first consultation with Dr. Hussey, we want to extend a warm welcome. It is our mission and goal to make your visit as comfortable and effective as possible. The following instructions are provided to improve the efficiency of your consultation.
WHERE DO I GO?
-
Dr. Hussey sees patients at the OrthoArkansas Midtown Little Rock clinic and the OrthoArkansas North Little Rock clnic.
-
Call prior to your visit to confirm location.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
-
Insurance card and photo ID
-
Medication list including herbal medicines
-
Pharmacy information (phone number/address)
-
Previous X-rays, MRI, CT scan, nerve studies. Very important to bring a hard copy burned onto a CD disc so that we can upload images into our computer system for Dr. Hussey to review. Also bring paper copies of associated radiology reports.
-
Surgical/Operative reports if prior surgery has been performed on the arm.
-
The #1 reason for an incomplete visit is failure to bring previous imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT scan) on a CD disc. Often times your referring doctor's staff will tell you that your scans will be sent to Dr. Hussey. THIS IS NOT TRUE. They will only fax a paper copy of the report. It is YOUR responsibility to bring a hard copy of images burned onto a CD disc.
-
List of allergies.
-
In general, the more information you bring with you related to your condition the better, and will make your experience with us more effective.
-
Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit so that we can verify insurance and you can fill out patient information forms.
